Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or BJJ is a martial art that offers a fantastic form of self defence, we are proud to have a great group of  women training and competing. If you are looking for a fun way to lose weight, keep fit and learn self defence in a safe and welcoming environment.

No matter your starting point we cater for all levels of fitness and age, the only requirement is taking that first step through the door.

I am passionate about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and have been training for over 6 years.  I love the on-going learning and challenges that this sport offers.   I have competed internationally and have travelled around Scotland to train under some of its' most talented grapplers. My dedication to training has been rewarded by winning gold at the IBJJF European Championship in Barcelona, teaching women's Jiu Jitsu classes, and being promoted to purple belt.

 

I have participated in a variety of sports throughout my life.  Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fits with my lifestyle, as a working professional and dog mum, and offers me an opportunity to challenge my fitness and athleticism in a supportive and friendly environment. It also offers many opportunities to test my abilities at competitions.  Most important of all, I have made great friends through BJJ.

 

The basic premise of BJJ is the ability to use technique to physically control a stronger and bigger opponent.  It is a great way for women to build confidence.  I find it incredibly rewarding to share my knowledge and to help other women develop their Jiu Jitsu skills and progress along their Jiu Jitsu journey.
